The Challenge

ATG "Mihovil" Šibenik, a professional association of tour guides with over 60 active members, needed a modern web platform to replace outdated communication and administration methods. The association was virtually invisible online to tourists and travel agencies looking for local guides.

The Solution

We built a complete web platform serving as the central hub for some association activities, from showcasing members and publishing content to managing billing. The platform was designed to be intuitive, even for members who aren't tech-savvy.

The process

The project began with detailed conversations with the association's board to understand their daily challenges and priorities. Based on those insights, we created a sitemap and wireframe sketches that defined the structure and user experience flow.

What we built

• Member Management: Registration with email confirmation and admin approval. Each member gets their own profile with description, languages, licenses, and contact details.
• Content Publishing: A system for creating news and blog articles with support for images, videos, and documents. Moderators review and approve posts before public display.
• Invoices and Contracts: Members can generate invoices and contracts in PDF format, download them, and re-upload signed versions.
• Member Directory: A public page listing all active guides, searchable by name, filterable by languages and licenses, with randomized order on each visit for fair visibility.
• Contact Forms: Visitors can reach the association or individual guides directly through the website, with spam protection built in.
• Responsive Design: The site displays perfectly across all devices, from mobile phones to desktop computers.

Results

The platform now serves as the association's main digital hub. On Google search, the site ranks:

• #1 for the keyword "šibenik vodiči",
• #2 for "sibenik tour guide" (right after paid ads)
